MADRIDBABEL IS LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS

MadridBabel is looking for volunteers to collaborate in the organization of our events, social networks and public relations.

The candidates should meet all the following requirements:

- Be sociable and formal
- Have attended our events
- Have experience in volunteering
- Have a good knowledge of English and Spanish
- Be available Wednesdays from 8pm and/or Sundays from 6:45pm

VIAJE DE PRIMAVERA A PORTUGAL (Puente del sábado 29 de abril al martes 2 de mayo) / SPRING TRIP TO PORTUGAL (Long weekend from Saturday, April 29 to Tuesday, May 2)

Descubriremos algunos de los mejores tesoros de Portugal, tanto en la costa atlántica como en su bellísimo interior, alojándonos en Oporto (playa) y visitando lugares como las preciosas ciudades de Coimbra, Aveiro, Figueira da Foz y el maravilloso Bosque de Buçaco.

Itinerario:

SÁBADO 29 DE ABRIL: MADRID - AVEIRO - OPORTO
Salida desde Madrid a las 8:30 desde el Paseo de la Infanta Isabel 3 (junto al Ministerio de Agricultura – metro Atocha) con destino a la ciudad costera de Aveiro, famosa por sus canales, góndolas y dulces “ovos moles”. La playa de Barrera posee el tercer faro más alto del mundo. Cena y alojamiento en Oporto (playa).

DOMINGO 30 DE ABRIL: OPORTO, Patrimonio de la Humanidad
Hoy dedicaremos el día a la ciudad del Douro. Conoceremos su zona monumental, sus famosas bodegas en Gaia, las terrazas y tascas del barrio de Ribera, y disfrutaremos del atardecer navegando en los tradicionales barcos por el río y sus bellos puentes (opcional). Quien prefiera, podrá disfrutar de tarde libre de playa. Por la noche, tras la cena, iremos a conocer el ambiente nocturno de la ciudad. Alojamiento en Oporto (playa).

LUNES 1 DE MAYO : OPORTO – FIGUEIRA DA FOZ –COIMBRA - OPORTO
Nos vamos a visitar Figueira da Foz, uno de los referentes del turismo costero portugués en plena fachada atlántica. Posteriormente nos trasladaremos a Coimbra, la ciudad universitaria por excelencia, donde recorreremos la zona estudiantil y su histórico casco antiguo. Regreso a Oporto. Cena y alojamiento.

MARTES 2 DE MAYO : OPORTO – BUÇACO - MADRID
Nos dirigiremos a Buçaco, uno de los bosques más exóticos de Europa, con cientos de especies traídas de todo el mundo. Tras visitarlo, iniciaremos el viaje de vuelta a Madrid, con llegada prevista sobre las 22:00.

Suplemento de grupo reducido (se avisaría antes de la salida): entre 19 y 25 personas, +30€

We will discover some of the best treasures of Portugal, both on the Atlantic coast and in its beautiful interior, staying in Porto (beach) and visiting places such as the beautiful cities of Coimbra, Aveiro, Figueira da Foz and the wonderful Buçaco Forest.

Itinerary:

SATURDAY, APRIL 29: MADRID - AVEIRO - PORTO
Departure from Madrid at 8:30 am from the Paseo de la Infanta Isabel 3 (next to the Ministry of Agriculture - Atocha metro) to the coastal city of Aveiro, famous for its canals, gondolas and sweet "soft eggs". Barrera Beach has the third highest lighthouse in the world. Dinner and overnight in Porto.

SUNDAY, APRIL 30: PORTO, World Heritage Site
We will dedicate the day to the city of the Douro. We will visit its monumental area, its famous wineries in Gaia, the terraces and taverns of the district of Ribera, and enjoy the sunset sailing on the traditional boats by the river and its beautiful bridges (optional). If you prefer, you can enjoy a free afternoon on the beach. In the evening, after dinner, we will check out the city's nightlife. Accommodation in Porto (beach).

MONDAY, MAY 1 : PORTO – FIGUEIRA DA FOZ –COIMBRA - PORTO
We will visit Figueira da Foz, one of the main references of the Portuguese coastal tourism in its full Atlantic facade. Later we will move to Coimbra, the university city, where we will visit the student area and its historic old town. Return to Porto. Dinner and accommodation.

TUESDAY, MAY 2 : PORTO – BUÇACO - MADRID
We will head to Buçaco, one of the most exotic forests in Europe, with hundreds of species brought in from all over the world. After visiting it, we will start the trip back to Madrid, with expected arrival at 10:00 pm.
